Velar is hiring chatters. Base rate plus commission on everything you sell, paid fortnightly in USD, and a commission ladder that moves as you prove yourself. Scripts and training provided. Experience is a plus, not a requirement.

The role
The work
You chat with subscribers. You run our scripts when they fit and you freestyle when they do not. You build rapport with the subscribers, improvise scenarios, stay in character, and close sales.
It is conversation and it is sales. The people who do well here are good at both.
What we give you
Full scripts, a custom CRM, remote team meets, and a training library. Four days of training, from home, before you touch a live conversation. Then feedback through your probation until you are running on your own.
You will not be handed an account on day one and told to figure it out.
Who does well
People who read the room. The job is not typing fast, it is knowing what someone actually means when they say "maybe later."
Fluent, natural English. A reliable computer and internet connection. Comfortable with improvising fictional scenarios in character. Determined to make the sale rather than waiting for it.
Chatting experience helps. Instinct helps more.
Who should not apply
Anyone who needs to be told exactly what to say at all times. Anyone uncomfortable with roleplay. Anyone looking for passive income, or a side project, or a few hours a week.
This is a real job with real hours. The money comes from selling, not from clocking in.

Pay
No games with the numbers. Here is the whole structure.
Stage 1
Unpaid
Four days learning the scripts, the CRM, and the accounts, done from home. Depending on your experience, this may be shortened. Pay begins the day your probation starts, immediately after.
Stage 2
$2/hr + 3%
$2 USD an hour plus 3% commission on everything you sell, including tips. Bonuses are open to every chatter, not just the senior ones. Paid fortnightly.
Stage 3
$3/hr + 5%
Your base and your commission both rise as you prove yourself, up to $3 USD an hour and 5%.
Stage 4
Beyond the ladder
You manage the team: coaching chatters, protecting quality, and helping people grow into doing what they do best.
Base pay is the floor, not the offer. The chatters who earn well here earn it on commission, and we would rather pay it out than cap it.
The process
A short form. Five minutes. Tell us who you are and what you have done.
We add you to our Telegram group and send you ten scenarios. About thirty minutes. Not a test of chatting, a test of how you read people.
Four days, from home. The scripts, the CRM, and the accounts you will be working on.
After the four days we check what you actually took in. There is nothing extra to prepare for. Do the training properly and you will be fine.
A conversation with us, for the applicants who make it this far. Then your first live shift, supervised, with someone watching your back.
We hire slowly and we hire few. If you make it through, it is because we think you are good.
FAQ
Read these before you apply. The first question on the application form asks whether you have read and agreed to them.
Training takes place over a 4 day period, done from home, remotely. Depending on your experience, this may be shortened.
6-7 days a week. 8 Hours daily.
Training is unpaid. Pay begins when your probation starts, immediately after the training. Experienced chatters should breeze through training.
Taking breaks during your shift should be done at appropriate times, using your own judgment. When the chats are less active, this is the best opportunity to step away briefly. You are still expected to remain logged in and available to chat during breaks.
Taking a break at a time that causes you to miss an important moment during your shift may result in lost opportunities for both the company and your earnings.
You will start at $2 USD per hour, plus a 3% commission on your earnings.
As you gain experience and demonstrate strong performance, your pay will increase incrementally to $3 USD per hour and/or 5% commission. In addition, high performers at any level will have opportunities to earn bonuses and progress into higher-level roles, including lead or management positions. This structure is designed to reward your contributions, encourage growth, and provide a clear path for advancement within the company.
We assess your probation based on your ability to hit target.
How you are able to work as a team through means of ensuring notes are thorough and kept up to scratch are equally as important.
You should always ensure you start your shift on time, and try on any given occasion to ensure that you are what the subscriber needs and is looking for.
Fortnightly, every two weeks.

Holidays can be taken at your own discretion, they are unpaid. Maximum one week holiday to be taken at a time with one month notice required.
2 weeks. We ask that you let us know as soon as possible in order to work your 2 week notice period.
We use Telegram to communicate daily.
We take on a small number of chatters at a time and train each one properly. Every application gets read by a person, and you will hear back within 48 hours either way.
